Testing complete! Hovorun updates and changes

We recently did a test with Hovorun players. We collected a lot of feedback, and are going to make some big changes to the game soon. All testers: thank you for helping us!

So, what is going to be new with Hovorun? A lot! Check out the list below:

1. Camera view improvements

The camera view has been adjusted. This means you have a better view on the road, no more graphic glitches (if any), etc. This is fine-tuned work, so you may feel it’s not very different from the previous system.

2. Reorganization of Hovo attributes

The Hovo attributes has been simplified to have ‘speed’, ‘control’ and ‘special attributes’. The ‘drift’ attribute is now integrated as part of the ‘control’ attribute. ‘Acceleration’ is included in the list of the ‘special attributes’. Special attributes are ‘acceleration’, ‘booster effect time’ and ‘gold collection’.

The attribute values of a few Hovos will be optimally changed in the future update of Hovorun.

3. Limiting the maximum laps of a race

The maximum number of laps for a race will be limited to 5 laps, which has an influence on the speed racing records. The ranking data will have to be reset, so new records can be set!

4. Revision of the Experience (EXP) table

The current EXP table will be revised in such a way that beginner-level users can level a bit easier and faster. When we adopt this new EXP system, the levels of the current users may change according to the new table. This means that some users will degrade a level, but this won't affect the total rank.

5. EXP by Channel

EXP given to users varies depending on the channels they play in.

- Beginner/All User channel: same as now

- Novice channel: twice as much as now

- Professional channel: three times as much as now.

You will now get twice or even three times the experience if you play in the right channel.

6. New rules on race withdrawal

- Players are not allowed to withdraw from a race in team racing.

- In single racing, players can withdraw, but will lose a certain amount of their XP as a penalty;

- When only one player is racing or when there’s only one player is left in the race, the withdrawal from the race is permitted without penalty.

These changes/improvements of Hovorun will be implemented in March/April. Of course, everbody will be well notified of this before the official patch.
